SECRETARY GENERAL D-8 ORGANIZATION

Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam

Thank you for your kind words and also for the warm welcome during my visit to the beautiful office of the Al-Hidayah Group. Mr. Ahmar and I were equally pleased to have met you and your friendly team. I did enjoy our frank and cordial discussion on the way forward to materialize the D-8 CEFC, a crucial project that, I believe, will contribute to the economic development of the D-8 Organization. I also look forward to working closely with you and your able team to bring the D-8 CEFC into fruition.

I am happy that I have had the opportunity to pay a visit to Malaysia, a vibrant and economically prowess country, who has vast potential to double, or even triple, its economy in the near future. I was humbled by the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to me by all Malaysia’s important high-ranking officials, including your good self.

I look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul to continue our joint effort to strengthen the D-8 Organization.

Stay healthy, and until we meet again.

Islamic Gift Economy For Common Prosperity

Islamic Gift Economy

The Islamic Gift Economy is a socio-economic concept rooted in Islamic principles that emphasize generosity, social justice, and community well-being. Unlike traditional economic systems that often revolve around profit maximization and individual accumulation of wealth, the Islamic Gift Economy places a strong emphasis on giving, sharing, and fulfilling the needs of the community.

The Islamic Gift Economy promotes an economic system based on ethical values, generosity, and community well-being. It seeks to create a society where economic activities are guided by principles of justice, compassion, and shared responsibility, fostering a sense of interconnectedness and harmony within the community.

The adoption of Islamic economy concept has gained tractions in the global market. AHG plans to introduce D-8 CEFC as the leader to promote the knowledge of the Islamic Gift Economy among D8 member states through education including Zakat, Waqaf, Hibah, Qardhul Hassann, etc.

Malaysian Success Stories

Malaysian Success Stories is a program to showcase Malaysian organizations which have made achievements and recognitions locally and internationally in their own field especially in the field related to Islamic Gift Economy. The showcase is made with the intention to share the technical and technological knowledge of these successful organizations with their relevant counterparts from other D-8 member states. The program will eventually be made in a way that the success stories from other D-8 member states can be shared with their counterparts in Malaysia.
